The monitoring and geo-fencing system Geomat works exclusively with Thuraya terminals..

SMS sending can be made both manually, by forwarding the position directly from the terminal (with all Thuraya satellite handsets), and automatically or semi automatically through the satellite terminal SO 2510 interfaced with Geomat devices.

Geomat Mini-Unit - MU 02 SO

Currently Mini Unit is the smaller, lighter and cost-effective satellite tracking system available on the market. These features make it the ideal tool for monitoring civilian and military personnel involved in remote and risk areas as well as mountaineering guides and excursionists.

The MU module is directly connected to the Thuraya terminal base. The device has three function keys, each one with a relevant 3 LED, with rescue request and target tracking functions.

The following reports can be forwarded through the keypad:
- Departure or Re-departure (green key)
- Voluntary stops (yellow key)
- Request for rescue alert (red key/panic botton)

The interval of time for SMS sending is fixed and can be set by the user before starting up the terminal. This interval of time is unchanged for the whole time the terminal is on.

The device supports SMS sending up to three numbers.

If Alarm key is pressed by the user, a message is instantly generated and sent to the Operating Control Room. To stop Alert message forwarding, the same key must be pressed again.

Geomat Unit 02 SO

The Unit 02 SO, utilized to monitor continuously any type of vehicle, is characterized by portability and is simple-to-use. These features make it the ideal solution for non-definitive use and for seasonal or temporary utilization.

The Unit 02 SO takes just a few minutes to install by using a cigarette lighter socket at 12 or 12/24 V and a magnetic external antenna. The system can also work without external power connection both via Thuraya terminal battery or solar energy panels provided on request.

The Unit 02 SO system consists of:

- Quick disconnection support for Thuraya terminal
- Unit 02 SO module
- Connector for generic boaat/vehicle alerts;
- Earset for voice use;
- Remote control keypad
- External magnetic antenna (diameter cm17 provided with 3 meters cable);
- Power cable with cigarette lighter socket.

The keypad comprises four keys indicating signals for:

- Voluntary Stops
- Departure or Re-departure
- Technical breakdown
- Medical Emergency

Geomat Air™

Intermatica designed and implemented Geomat AirTM which is integrated with avionics products for aircrafts and helicopters:

Voice Communication
Connected to the aeronautical intercom, provides high quality, continuous voice communication in the headphones, whatever the altitude (up to 5,000 m) and the speed (up to 200 Km/h) are.

Data Communication
Analogical connection at 9600 bit/s, ideal to send and receive texts or images at low resolution. GmPRS connection "always-on": packet switching at medium speed, ideal to receive Radar Meteo images.

Tracking function
Sends automatically and in real time, at scheduled intervals of time, encrypted SMS reporting UTC time, coordinates, altitude, speed and heading of the aircraft.

GeomatAir™ is the smallest, lightest and convenient monitoring and geo-fencing satellite system currently available on the aeronautical market.

The Package includes:

- Thuraya satellite handset
- MU Module, directly connected to the handset and integrating the localization and control Hardware and Firmware
- External satellite and GPS antenna
- Software for communication and tracking
- GeomatWeb™ geo-fencing service
- Pre-paid or post-paid Satellite SIM Card

The proprietary micro processor board, specifically developed for aeronautical use, is equipped with a keypad integrated in the docking system, also allowing to send a request of assistance that can be managed via GeomatWeb™ application.

The GeomatAir™ MU manages the interval of time scheduling between two transmissions, relevant to the position and the main flying data, from 1 to 50 minutes at increments of 1-2-5-10-20-50 minutes.

A special function provides the opportunity to set the lower speed limit determining GeomatAir™ MU automatic activation of the transmission with no need of Pilot's interaction. At the tracking start and finish, two encrypted messages report to the GeomatWeb™ the mission's beginning and termination.
